Paleo Cocoa Hazelnut Bread

  • ½ cup hazelnut butter*
  • ¼ cup maple syrup
  • 1 mashed banana
  • 2 eggs
  • 6 tablespoons melted coconut oil
  • 4 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ cup cassava flour
  • 1 chopped 72% dark chocolate bar


  • Preheat your oven to 325℉.
  • Mix together hazelnut butter, maple syrup, mashed banana, eggs, and coconut oil in a medium-sized bowl.
  • Whisk in cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and cassava flour until lumps are gone.
  • Fold in chopped chocolate and pour the dough into a greased loaf pan.
  • Bake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Enjoy!


*If you can't find hazelnut butter in stores, puree raw hazelnuts in a high powered food processor/blended until a butter forms.
