Donut Ingredients
- 1/2 cup cassava flour
- 1/2 cup coconut sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup coconut oil melted
- 1 cup warm water
Chocolate Glaze Ingredients
- 1 cup Evolved dark chocolate melted
Instructions
For the Donuts
- Preheat oven to 350℉.
- Mix together all dry ingredients in a large bowl with a whisk.
- Add rest of the donut ingredients and mix until well combined.
- Scoop the batter into donut pans and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until donuts are completely baked through.
- Let cool completely.
Notes
When these are still hot they will appear to be "gummy" due to the cassava flour...this is normal! As they cool the texture will become cakey and tender again!
If sensitive to cassava flour, sub with 1 cup almond flour plus 2 tablespoons coconut flour.
To keep vegan, replace with flax egg. To make a flax egg, simply soak 1 tablespoon ground flax seed in 3 tablespoons water for 5 minutes.
